He began his career, debuting as a member of the South Korean boy band NU'EST in March 2012, NU'EST later disbanded on the date March 14 2022. In 2017, he participated in second season of Produce 101 and finished ninth place, becoming a member of Wanna One, that group later disbanded in 2018
