- Shin Jong-kook first made waves in the entertainment industry in 2011 as a standout contestant on the popular singing survival competition program Superstar K3. Recognizing his exceptional vocal range and powerful stability, Core Contents Media scouted him late that same year to officially replace the departing Kangho in the mixed-gender group Coed School. When the lineup moved into the independent all-male team SPEED, Jongkook was positioned alongside Jungwoo and Taeha as one of the definitive Main Vocalists, breathing life into their studio tracks with his rich ballad-style tones and high notes. Following the group's quiet dissolution in late 2015, he stayed briefly with the company until early 2016. He eventually signed with different agencies to continue working in entertainment, performing in indie rock projects like HAN ROCK and officially releasing solo music as an independent artist.
