ᯓ★ about korean unis every intl student always comes up to me like 'oh ashley, two years later, i'm in seoul uni, turning on pink morning playlists, prepping to meet kyungsoo at eight'. we may think it's all those polished hallways, marble lecture halls, banana milk study sessions. understandable, as we're not all from korea. truth is, for hs students in korea, that senior year is hagwon and messiness. parents, suneung, bread from teachers if you study till two. it's basically a college entrance exam, like the sat but once in your life. when i was spending those years scrolling until 2am, they were studying until then, starting from 8am straight. if you wanted to get into one of the sky unis (su, ku, yonsei), they defined it as halving your social life and sleep hours. if you're a dual citizen like me, they got in with immaculate 4.0 gpas and 1580 sats. but it's a year. for those days. and they got it right, those pink days, after? reminders: study hard, it's the only way out.
