WHO IS P-MODEL ? Hi ! I am a big jrock fan ! I came here to yap about my fav band since there is a total of 5 english speaking people in the jrock fandom 😭 So, here I am to educate you about a biiiig band which ruled the experimental jrock industry : P-Model !!!!!! It formed in 1979 on the ashes of a former Prog Rock band, Mandrake, which existed from 1973 to 1978, with all the members being related to it. The band has known 2 hiatuses and many lineup changes : that brings the members to a total of 16 (counting the amiga replica of the OG drummer !) The band existed from 1979 to december 2000 : however, the leader and only permanent member, Susumu Hirasawa, will make a solo revival of the band under the name "Kaku P-Model", since 2004. The band's concept revolves around doing music that has never have been done before, with heavy sci fi vibes (esp since 1990). If you have time, please give them a try. I can drop recs !
