Invisible. When someone feels invisible- they feel like nobody sees them. And not in like they genuinely don’t see you with their eyes kind of way- but they are genuinely ignored. Example, someone asks a question and your answer is never picked or is simply ignored. You try talking to someone and are ignored. You post things but they never get attention. You simply feel like no-one cares- you’re invisible. I’m invisible.

Izzy? Izzy! H-Hi! It’s me! Your younger self! Hehe! I just moved to a new school! We have to wear uniforms at this one… but my teacher is nice! First grade is hard- but I’m getting the hang of it! Math is my favorite! —————————— H-Hi! It’s me again! I like second grade- she lets us play games! I’m learning cursive! —————————— Hi! It’s third grade now! I’m playing piano with my teacher and she’s very nice! We’re getting new kids in our class! —————————— Hi… I don’t like fourth grade… they’re all mean to me now… I just wanted to be friends… —————————— Hey, it’s fifth grade now. I switched schools again. They’re atleast somewhat nicer now. —————————— hey, sixth grade is terrible. My teachers are nice but these kids are terrible. I don’t like it here. ——————————— Hey kid, it’s me. Don’t listen to them. I know you hate it. You’ll like seventh grade. You still aren’t doing too well but you are starting to ignore the hate. Your teachers are nice and you are getting friendlier.

Here’s a daily reminder that I think we all need. No matter what, you are beautiful. Even if you think you aren’t, you are. Everyone is beautiful in their own ways. It doesn’t always have to be physically. You aren’t fat just because you have a bit of a belly- that isn’t your fault. Everyone is built differently. Weight doesn’t matter- multiple things inside our bodies count towards that. Just because you aren’t popular at school, doesn’t mean you are weird- most people who peak in middle school and highschool don’t make it in the real world (kindly). You aren’t weird for liking kpop- everyone has their own likes and dislikes. Eat some more food and drink some water- please keep eating we need you healthy. You aren’t paper so don’t do it. You belong here even if you don’t feel like it at school or at home- WE want you here. I love you all so much!

Never try to be friends with everyone. It never works. Trust me, I tried all the way from 1st grade to 4th grade. I left that school with no friends. 25 other kids in that class and not one wanted to sit with me. I went to a private Christian school. Same 25 kids for four years. Left with not even one friend. Public school isn’t worse, but it’s exhausting. Over 200 kids in my grade. I don’t even talk to half of them- yet most of them hate me. I don’t know why. I’m actually really nice- but when I get mad… well I’m mean. Sometimes too mean. People tell others, I lose friends, I get kicked out of friend groups. It feels like I’m a stray puppy who always gets kicked around.

Love. It isn’t something we can control. Your heart doesn’t listen to ‘I don’t want to’ or ‘I can’t’ It knows what it wants and will do anything to get it. It tricks your brain into loving the same. When you don’t get it, your heart aches. It aches because that’s what it wanted and it didn’t get it. Our hearts are like people- they want. And when they don’t get what they want, they ache.
