On September 29, 2024, Huang Jialiang was introduced as a contestant on the Chinese-South Korean survival show Starlight Boys. On November 23, he was eliminated in episode 5. On January 6, 2026, he was officially announced as a member of BC221 3rd Generation. He can speak Japanese, Chinese, English, and Spanish. Yichen can play the keyboard.
