The Kim Sisters was the first ever group to get success in the U.S. The trio was formed during the Korean War, where they would sing to soldiers. They later performed on the Ed Sullivan show, which is where their popularity skyrocketed. The group disbanded in 1975. Member Aeja passed away in 1987 due to lung cancer. A documentary about the group was released in 2015 called "Try to Remember"
