Singer-actor IU donated 300 million won ($200,160) to mark her birthday, Saturday, accoring to her agency Edam Entertainment. The donation was made under the name "IUaena," a combination of the artist's name and her official fan club, "Uaena." Edam said 100 million won was given to Asan Medical Center in Seoul, while 50 million won each went to four local charity groups. "The funds will be used to support patients facing financial difficulties, provide educational and cultural programs for children and adolescents, assist elderly people living alone, support single-mother households in vulnerable situations and supply advanced assistive devices for people with disabilities," the agency said. IU has made regular donations under the "IUaena" name on occasions such as her debut anniversary, birthdays and year-end holidays. Earlier this month, she donated 100 million won to support children and teenagers on Children's Day.

Enhypen's 'Bite Me,' 'Sweet Venom' top 500 mil., 200 mil. Spotify streams

Two 2023 hits from K-pop boy group Enhypen, "Bite Me" and "Sweet Venom," have surpassed 500 million and 200 million streams, respectively, on Spotify, the group's agency Belift Lab said on Saturday. "Bite Me" had accumulated 500,195,420 streams as of Thursday, becoming the group's first track to exceed the 500 million threshold on the global music streaming platform. "Sweet Venom" hit 200,028,930 streams the same day, becoming the band's seventh song to surpass 200 million streams. Including the two tracks, Enhypen now has a total of 19 songs with more than 100 million streams on Spotify. The six-member group kicked off its "Blood Saga" world tour in Seoul earlier this month, with a total of 32 shows across 21 cities. The tour will continue in South and North America in July and August, Macau in October, and four major dome venues in Japan from December through February next year.
