Before his debut, he spent seven long years as a trainee, which included five years at Starship Entertainment where he competed on the survival show No.Mercy (the show that formed Monsta X). Beyond his vocal prowess, Minkyun is a deeply artistic core member who actively co-writes and composes many of ONF's tracks. He is also widely known by fans as a compassionate animal lover who has rescued several pets, balancing his sharp, professional stage presence with a warm, cat-like, and wonderfully eccentric personality off-stage.
