On March 13, Kim opened a YouTube channel titled “garamonly” and uploaded her first video, simply titled “ep. 01.” The video did not include a description, but the understated title quickly caught the attention of fans and curious viewers. In the video, Kim explained why she started filming. "I turned the camera on because I wanted to record my acting practice videos and parts of my daily life," she said. The clip shows Kim filming a self-cam in a rehearsal room before continuing to practice acting at home. She is also seen closely reviewing her own performance, carefully monitoring her acting. Other scenes show her studying in a library and attending acting lessons. At one point, Kim also plays the guitar, introducing it as a song she is currently practicing. Other songs popular on such platforms are similarly short, all falling under the three-minute mark: Le Sserafim’s “Spaghetti” runs 2 minutes and 53 seconds, BLACKPINK’s “Jump” 2 minutes and 45 seconds, Jennie’s “Like Jennie” 2 minutes and 4 seconds, Hearts2Hearts’ “Focus” 2 minutes and 58 seconds, and TWS “Overdrive” 2 minutes and 40 seconds. The compact length is driven by structural changes that minimize introductory sections and move quickly to the chorus, reflecting the nature of short-form platforms, where content needs to hook users immediately. The shift has been developing in K-pop fo
