- Choi Sangyeop (최상엽) is LUCY's guitarist and main vocalist, recognized for his soothing voice, heartfelt performances, and caring personality. Born on February 27, 1994, he studied applied chemical engineering at Dankook University before pursuing a career in music. As one of the group's primary lyricists, Sangyeop helps shape LUCY's emotional storytelling through both his songwriting and vocals. Often called the "mom" of the group, Sangyeop is known for looking after the members by handling much of the cooking and cleaning in their dorm. Despite being the messiest member due to his clumsy nature, his warm and dependable personality has made him a beloved figure among fans. Before joining LUCY, he built experience as a solo artist, released his own album YEOP x2, and sang numerous drama OSTs. Although he was eliminated early from SuperBand, fellow member Wonsang later recruited him after being impressed by his performance. Outside of music, Sangyeop enjoys playing piano, reading self-improvement books, and even has a love for Zumba. His personal mottos, "This Too Shall Pass" and "I Love Myself," reflect the positive outlook he brings to both his music and daily life.
