I.M (MONSTA X) enlisted in the military on 2026-02-09. The evening before his enlistment (Feb 8) he posted a photo of his new buzz cut and photos with MONSTA X members on Instagram.

Starship Entertainment announced that MONSTA X member I.M is scheduled to enlist as an active-duty soldier on 2026-02-09. The agency also noted he has been undergoing rehabilitation treatment for back pain.

I.M will begin his mandatory military service, starting a hiatus from group activities.
