K-pop boy groups NCT 127, Tomorrow X Together (TXT) and ZEROBASEONE will headline KCON LA 2026 this August, the event's organizer said Friday as it unveiled a star-studded lineup for the upcoming U.S. leg of the annual overseas Korean culture festival. Korean media and entertainment giant CJ ENM announced the artists for the "M Countdown" show, the festival's signature K-pop concert series. Each headliner will perform an expanded one-hour set, offering a concert-scale experience to global fans. The Los Angeles event is scheduled for Aug. 14-16 at Crypto.com Arena and the Los Angeles Convention Center. It follows the festival's 2026 kick-off in Japan, which will take place from May 8-10 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba. Oscar-winning 'Golden' rises to fifth on Billboard Hot 100
Netflix's animation sensation "KPop Demon Hunters" saw its original soundtrack climb again on both the main singles and albums charts of the U.S. Billboard after the film won two Oscars earlier this month, the latest charts showed Wednesday. "Golden" from the soundtrack rose two places to No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100, logging its 39th consecutive week on the chart. The film's soundtrack album climbed a spot to No. 10 on the Billboard 200, also extending its chart run to 39 weeks. On March 16, the U.S. animated film won Best Animated Feature, while its breakout track "Golden" was named Best Original Song during the 98th Academy Awards ceremony in Los Angeles. Elsewhere on the chart, boy band P1Harmony landed at No. 4 with its ninth EP, "Unique," released March 12. K-pop boy group P1Harmony has entered the U.S. Billboard 200 albums chart at No. 4 with its latest release, achieving the group's highest position to date. Billboard said on Sunday (U.S. time) that P1Harmony's ninth EP "Unique," released on March 12, debuted at No. 4 on the main albums chart. The group previously reached No. 9 last September with its English-language album "X," its first top-10 appearance on the Billboard 200. "Unique" sold an estimated 58,000 equivalent album units in its first week, including about 56,000 physical copies, according to Billboard.
