Community Help & Standards
How to use community features, what is welcome here, and what is not allowed anywhere on KpopVisage
These standards apply across chat, feed, comments, replies, whispers, direct interactions, profiles, usernames, images, uploads, links, and other community areas in addition to the Terms of Service. The examples below are not exhaustive. Moderators may remove content or act faster when safety, privacy, or wellbeing is at risk.
Using community features
How do I join a chat room?
Open Chat Rooms and select the room you want. If someone shared a direct room link with you, opening that link should take you straight into the room.
How do I post on the feed or leave a comment?
Use the feed post composer to create a post. To respond to an existing post, use the comment or reply action on that post. Posting and commenting may be limited by moderation status, safety settings, or account restrictions.
How do I whisper or message someone privately?
Tap or click the person’s name or avatar in chat and use the whisper or private message option when it is available. If you do not see the option, private messaging may not be available in that room or for that account context.
How do I share a photo, GIF, or link?
Use the media or upload action next to the message box or composer to attach supported content. To share a link, paste it into the message box or composer and submit it like a normal post or message. Shared media and links still have to follow the rules below.
How do I reply to a specific message or post?
Use the reply action on the message or post you want to answer. This keeps your response attached to the original content so other people can follow the context.
How do I add friends or accept a friend request?
Open the user’s profile and send a friend request. To manage requests and your current connections, go to Friends.
How do I mute, block, or report someone?
Open the user menu from chat, feed, comments, or the user’s profile and choose the action you want. Mute hides content for you, block limits interaction, and report sends the issue to moderation review.
How do I make my own room?
If room creation is enabled for your account, use the room creation option from chat and follow the prompts. If you do not see it, the feature may not be available to every account or in every context.
Why can’t I post, comment, or send messages right now?
Common reasons include being logged out, temporary mute, posting limits, room restrictions, network issues, rate limits, safety filters, or account moderation. If it keeps happening, contact support from Help & About.
How do I appeal a mute, suspension, or ban?
Use the support form on Help & About. Include your username, what action you saw, roughly when it happened, and any context that matters.

  • Do not post your age together with selfies, school information, location details, or contact handles.
  • Do not ask other users to reveal their face, age, school, location, or relationship status.
  • Personal photos may be removed when they create safety risk, especially when paired with age, socials, location, or romantic or sexual attention-seeking.
  • Do not use public areas as a dating market or identity-validation space.
  • Do not lie about your age or identity to manipulate users or get around safety rules.
Safety, privacy, and personal information
  • Do not post your phone number, email, school name, home address, live location, or other sensitive personal details in public areas.
  • Do not post someone else’s personal information without clear permission.
  • Do not share private screenshots, private conversations, or identifying details in order to expose or embarrass someone.

  • Content that creates a real-world safety risk for you or another person may be removed immediately.
Self-harm, crisis, and emotional coercion
KpopVisage is not a crisis-support platform. Members and moderators are not presented as mental health professionals, emergency responders, or safety monitors for other users.
  • Do not post suicide threats, self-harm threats, disappearance threats, or similar alarm language in public areas.
  • Do not use phrases like wanting to die, wanting out, or harming yourself in ways that alarm, pressure, or destabilize others.
  • Do not use crisis language to guilt, trap, frighten, or control other users.
  • Do not ask other users to take responsibility for your safety, keep you alive, or act as your crisis support.
  • Do not repeatedly invite distressed users to come to you for emotional rescue or crisis counseling.
  • Repeated panic-dumping, crisis-posting, or emotional dependency behavior may lead to removal, restriction, suspension, or ban.
  • If there is immediate real-world risk, contact local emergency services or a trusted offline adult or guardian instead of relying on site members.
Spam, flooding, duplicates, and low-value disruption
  • Do not flood chat, feed, or comments with repeated posts, repeated hashtags, repeated messages, or excessive low-value content.
  • Do not mass-tag, repeatedly bump your own content, or post giant character floods or copy-paste walls of text to dominate public spaces.
  • Do not repost content that was already removed by moderation.
  • Do not repeatedly dump links, duplicates, or near-duplicates into public areas.
  • Do not use spam or repetition to push drama, unban campaigns, or personal grievances.
Callouts, rumors, moderation drama, and destabilizing posts
  • Do not make public posts or comments naming another user as drama content.
  • Do not post “who is this person and what did they do,” “go report them,” “ban them,” or similar callout content.
  • Do not post screenshots, accusation threads, rumor threads, or gossip intended to keep conflict alive.
  • Do not make public ban campaigns, unban campaigns, or ongoing moderation-dispute posts.
  • Do not present unverified serious claims as facts, especially around abuse, suicide, bans, hacking, or scandal.
  • Do not make fake serious announcements or jokes about death, harm, departures, or other panic-inducing events.
Off-platform contact, recruiting, and promotion
  • Do not post public lists of your Discord, Instagram, TikTok, WhatsApp, email, phone number, or other contact handles in public content.
  • Do not recruit users to outside sites, apps, servers, group chats, or communities from chat, feed, or comments.
  • Do not use public content to move users off-platform after moderation action or to coordinate around bans.
  • Do not advertise another app, site, server, channel, or product without approval.
  • Repeated self-promo, referral spam, off-platform invitations, or contact farming may lead to content removal or account action.
Deception, impersonation, ban evasion, and fraud
  • Do not impersonate moderators, admins, staff, support, or another user.
  • Do not catfish, misrepresent yourself, or use deceptive identity claims to manipulate people.
  • Do not scam, phish, distribute malware, sell accounts, buy accounts, or ask for passwords or private login information.
  • Do not use alternate accounts to evade moderation, restrictions, or bans.
  • Do not bypass word filters, posting limits, room restrictions, or other safety controls.
  • Do not file false reports or weaponize the report system against users.
How enforcement works
Content we may remove immediately
  • Public contact info, unsafe personal info, or risky face-reveal content.
  • Public drama posts, callouts, rumor posts, or moderation-dispute posts.
  • Self-harm or crisis content, especially when it alarms or pressures others.
  • Spam, duplicates, copy-paste floods, or repeated low-value disruption.
  • Off-platform recruiting, unsolicited advertising, or external group invites.
  • Sexual, graphic, deceptive, or otherwise unsafe content.
Usually warning, mute, or suspension first
  • Harassment, repeated hostility, boundary-pushing, or repeated unwanted contact.
  • Repeated spam, flooding, duplicate posting, or link dumping.
  • Repeated public drama, rumor spreading, or efforts to keep conflict alive.
  • Repeated public sharing of socials, outside invites, or contact farming.
  • Repeated crisis-posting, emotional coercion, or destabilizing behavior that overwhelms public spaces.
  • Ignoring moderator instructions or repeatedly pushing against safety rules after being warned.
Behavior that can skip warnings and go straight to permanent ban
  • Sexual content involving minors, grooming, sexual coercion, or requests for explicit images.
  • Doxxing or exposing someone’s private information without permission.
  • Credible threats, blackmail, extortion, or encouraging real-world harm or self-harm.
  • Hate speech or targeted discriminatory harassment.
  • Scams, phishing, malware, account selling, or other deceptive fraud.
  • Impersonating moderators, admins, staff, or support.
  • Ban evasion or using alternate accounts to avoid moderation.
  • Non-consensual intimate content, extreme graphic content, or other severe safety-risk content.
  • Accounts that admit they are below the site’s minimum age may be removed for safety and legal reasons.
Appeals and moderator review
  • Moderators may delete content without prior notice when it breaks rules or creates safety, privacy, or wellbeing risk.
  • Enforcement can include content removal, warning, mute, posting restriction, room removal, temporary suspension, or permanent ban.
  • Severity, repetition, context, prior behavior, and impact on other users all matter.
  • Not every moderation action will come with a separate public explanation.
  • If you think an action was wrong, appeal through Help & About.
Community FAQ
Can I share my socials or ask people to talk somewhere else?
Use approved profile social fields where supported. Public chat, feed, and comments are not for contact farming, outside invites, or moving users off-platform.
Can I post my face, age, or relationship status?
Personal photos may be removed for safety, especially when paired with age, school, location, contact info, or romantic or sexual attention-seeking. Do not use public areas for dating-style posts or “rate me” style attention bait.
Can I vent if I am sad or stressed?
Brief personal updates are one thing. Repeated crisis-posting, panic-dumping, self-harm language, or making other users responsible for you is not allowed.
Can I post about self-harm or suicide?
No. KpopVisage is not a crisis-support platform, and public areas cannot be used for suicide threats, self-harm threats, or crisis-management posting.
Can I make a post about another user or ongoing drama?
No. Report it and step away. Public callouts, accusation posts, “who did what” threads, unban campaigns, and gossip posts are not allowed.
Can I advertise another app, site, server, or account?
Not without approval. Unsolicited advertising, outside community invites, repeated self-promo, and external recruiting can be removed and may lead to account action.
Why was my content removed?
It likely broke a community safety rule, a privacy rule, a spam rule, a moderation rule, or was removed because it created risk for other users. Not every removal comes with a separate warning message.
What happens after I report someone?
Reports are reviewed and can lead to content removal, warning, mute, posting restriction, suspension, or ban depending on severity and history. Not every moderation action will be visible to the reporter.
