Community Help & Standards
How to use community features, what is welcome here, and what is not allowed anywhere on KpopVisage
These standards apply across chat, feed, comments, replies, whispers, direct interactions, profiles, usernames, images, uploads, links, and other community areas in addition to the Terms of Service. The examples below are not exhaustive. Moderators may remove content or act faster when safety, privacy, or wellbeing is at risk.
Using community features
Join or create chat rooms
Open Chat Rooms and pick a room. Direct room links should take you straight to that room. If room creation is available for your account, use the create-room action from chat.
Post, comment, and reply
Use the feed composer to post, the comment action to respond to posts, and the reply action to keep a response attached to the original message or thread. Posting can be limited by login state, rate limits, room settings, or moderation status.
Whispers, friends, and private contact
Tap a user name or avatar to use whisper, private message, profile, friend, mute, block, or report actions when they are available. Manage friend requests from Friends.
Share media and links safely
Use the upload or media action beside the message box or composer for supported photos, GIFs, and attachments. Links and uploads still have to follow the same safety, privacy, spam, and content rules as text posts.
Mute, block, report, or get support
Mute hides content for you, block limits interaction, and report sends the issue to moderation review. For appeal requests, bugs, or serious safety issues, use Help & About.
Core community standards
KpopVisage is for K-pop discussion, fan content, games, and friendly mixed-age conversation. The short version: keep it fandom-focused, age-appropriate, honest, and respectful.
Welcome here
- K-pop discussion, comeback reactions, recommendations, fanart, edits, memes, collections, concert posts, quizzes, and games.
- Introductions, friend-finding, and casual conversation that stay respectful and age-appropriate.
- Respectful opinions and disagreements that do not turn into harassment, callouts, or dogpiling.
- Using mute, block, leave, and report instead of escalating arguments.
Not allowed
- Harassment, threats, humiliation, dogpiling, hate speech, or targeted discriminatory content.
- Sexual content, dating bait, grooming, requests for explicit images, or sexualizing minors.
- Public contact farming, off-platform recruiting, unsafe personal info, or sharing someone else's private information.
- Self-harm threats, crisis pressure, scams, impersonation, ban evasion, spam, rumors, or moderation drama.
Respect, harassment, and hate speech
- Do not insult, shame, threaten, mock, or repeatedly target another user.
- Do not rally people against someone, continue fights through public posts, or tell users to hurt themselves.
- Do not use slurs or attack people based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or other protected identity.
- Stop contacting someone when they have made it clear they do not want the interaction.
Sexual content, minors, and dating boundaries
- Do not post explicit sexual content, erotic roleplay, sexual media, or sexual jokes directed at users.
- Do not request, trade, or pressure anyone for explicit images, suggestive images, body pictures, or proof pictures.
- Do not use public areas for dating bait, relationship pressure, or "rate me" style identity validation.
- Do not groom, sexually coerce, or sexualize minors under any circumstances.
Privacy, identity, and off-platform contact
- Do not post phone numbers, email addresses, school names, home addresses, live locations, or other sensitive personal details.
- Do not pressure users to reveal their face, age, school, location, relationship status, socials, or private contact handles.
- Do not post someone else's private information, private screenshots, or identifying details without clear permission.
- Do not recruit users to outside servers, apps, group chats, accounts, or communities from public chat, feed, or comments.
Self-harm, crisis language, and emotional pressure
KpopVisage is not a crisis-support platform. Members and moderators are not emergency responders or mental health professionals.
- Do not post suicide threats, self-harm threats, disappearance threats, or similar alarm language in public areas.
- Do not use crisis language to guilt, frighten, control, or make other users responsible for your safety.
- Repeated public quitting, hiatus, self-harm, or distress announcements may be removed or limited when they pressure other members to provide emotional support.
- Members who need a break should step away privately or use account break tools instead of turning public areas into departure, crisis, or stay-or-go decision threads.
- Creating alternate accounts to evade a forced hiatus may result in permanent account deletion.
- If there is immediate real-world risk, contact local emergency services or a trusted offline adult or guardian.
Spam, drama, rumors, and deception
- Do not flood chat, feed, or comments with duplicate posts, repeated hashtags, copy-paste walls, mass tags, or low-value repetition.
- Do not make public callouts, accusation threads, rumor posts, unban campaigns, moderation-dispute posts, or fake serious announcements.
- Do not impersonate staff or users, catfish, scam, phish, distribute malware, sell accounts, evade bans, bypass safety filters, or file false reports.
Enforcement and appeals
May be removed immediately
- Unsafe personal info, risky face-reveal content, sexual content, or graphic content.
- Public drama, callouts, rumors, self-harm crisis posts, repeated quitting or hiatus announcements, spam floods, and off-platform recruiting.
May lead to warnings or restrictions
- Repeated hostility, boundary-pushing, spam, link dumping, public drama, contact farming, or ignoring moderator direction.
- Restrictions can include content removal, warning, mute, room removal, posting limits, suspension, or ban.
Can skip warnings
- Grooming, sexual coercion, minor sexualization, doxxing, credible threats, blackmail, scams, hate speech, impersonation, or ban evasion.
- Accounts that admit they are below the minimum age may be removed for safety and legal reasons.
