Idol Vision Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Mannacor LLC ("KpopVisage," "Idol Vision," "we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the Idol Vision Android app, Idol Vision pages, and related KpopVisage services (collectively, the "Idol Vision Services").

Idol Vision is designed to identify K-pop idols in images. It is not intended to be used as a face scanner, identity verification tool, or lookalike test for the user or other private individuals. Please do not upload images of yourself, children, private individuals, or anyone whose image you do not have the right to use.

This policy supplements the main KpopVisage Privacy Policy. If there is a conflict between this policy and the main policy for Idol Vision image processing, this Idol Vision policy controls for that feature.

1. Summary of key points

  • Idol Vision is for K-pop idol identification. The app is meant to identify known public K-pop idols, not to identify or analyze private people.
  • We do not knowingly collect user pictures. We do not want selfies, personal photos, children's photos, or private-person photos submitted to Idol Vision.
  • Some matching idol imagery may be retained. If an uploaded image matches a known idol in our system with at least 60% confidence, we may retain that image or related image data for training, quality review, and improvement of idol identification.
  • Images that do not meet the training threshold are not kept for training. Images that do not match a known idol at the required confidence level are processed to return results and are not intentionally retained for model improvement.
  • You can contact us about removal. If you believe a personal image, unauthorized image, or non-idol image was retained, contact us and we will review it for removal.

2. Images uploaded to Idol Vision

When you submit an image to Idol Vision, the image is transmitted to our service so we can attempt to identify the K-pop idol or idols shown in the image. We may process the image, cropped face regions, technical metadata, match scores, model outputs, and diagnostic information needed to generate and improve results.

If the system determines that an image matches a known K-pop idol in our database with at least 60% confidence, we may retain the image, cropped idol face imagery, labels, match information, quality signals, or related derived data for training, validation, troubleshooting, abuse prevention, and improvement of Idol Vision.

Retained training imagery is used to improve idol identification and matching quality. It is not used to identify private individuals, make decisions about users, verify a user's identity, or build a profile about the person who submitted the image.

3. Private-person and user images

Idol Vision is not meant for user selfies or private-person face scanning. We do not knowingly collect, retain, or use images of users or other private individuals for training. If we discover that retained material appears to be a private-person image, a child image, an unauthorized personal image, or otherwise unsuitable for idol training, we may delete it, exclude it from training, or take other corrective action.

Because Idol Vision works from images submitted by users, we cannot guarantee that every submitted image is what the submitter says it is. The 60% match threshold is a training-quality filter, not a statement that the image is definitely an idol or that we want private-person photos submitted.

4. Other information we may collect

  • App usage information, such as features used, timestamps, errors, diagnostic logs, and performance data.
  • Device and technical information, such as device type, operating system, app version, language settings, network information, IP address, and approximate location derived from IP.
  • Security and abuse-prevention information, including rate-limiting signals, suspicious activity indicators, blocked requests, and fraud-prevention data.
  • Account, support, or contact information if you sign in, contact us, submit a request, or use a connected KpopVisage account feature.
  • Diagnostics and performance information generated by the app or related services, such as errors, request timing, and reliability signals.

5. How we use information

  • Provide Idol Vision results and related app functionality.
  • Improve idol recognition accuracy, training data quality, and model performance.
  • Review, label, validate, and maintain idol imagery used for training and evaluation.
  • Troubleshoot errors, measure performance, and improve reliability.
  • Detect, prevent, and respond to spam, abuse, scraping, automated misuse, security incidents, and unauthorized access.
  • Respond to support, privacy, removal, or legal requests.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms and policies.

6. How we share information

We may share information with service providers that help us host, store, secure, analyze, moderate, troubleshoot, and operate Idol Vision. These providers may process information only as needed to provide services to us.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, to investigate abuse or security issues, or as part of a business transfer such as a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets.

We do not sell Idol Vision training images, and the Idol Vision Android app is not currently designed around third-party advertising or targeted advertising.

7. Data retention

  • Matching idol imagery: images or related data that match a known idol with at least 60% confidence may be retained for training, quality review, and improvement unless removed under this policy or applicable law.
  • Non-matching uploads: images that do not meet the training threshold are processed to provide results and are not intentionally retained for model training.
  • Logs and security records: diagnostic, security, and abuse-prevention records are kept for limited periods as reasonably needed for service integrity, troubleshooting, and legal compliance.
  • Support and privacy requests: request records may be retained as needed to respond, document completion, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.

Deleted data may remain in backups for a limited period before being removed through routine backup cycling. We may retain information longer where reasonably necessary for legal, security, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, or recordkeeping purposes.

8. Your choices and removal requests

If you believe Idol Vision has retained an image that depicts you, a child, another private individual, an image you own, or an image that should not be used for training, contact us at info@kpopvisage.com. Please include enough information for us to locate and review the image where possible.

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, object to, restrict, or opt out of certain processing of personal information. We may need to verify your identity or authority before completing a request, and we may deny or limit requests where permitted by law.

9. Children

Idol Vision is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 in circumstances that would require parental notice or consent under applicable law. Do not upload photos of children to Idol Vision.

If we learn that a child's image or personal information was collected in a way that is not permitted, we will take steps to delete it or otherwise handle it as required by applicable law.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information. However, no method of transmission over the internet and no storage or security system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.

11. International users

We operate Idol Vision from the United States. If you use Idol Vision from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States and other locations where we or our service providers operate. Where required by applicable law, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Idol Vision Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the Effective Date above when we do. Material changes become effective when posted unless a different effective date is stated.
