Stray Kids, formed by JYP Entertainment in 2017 through a reality show of the same name, is a boy group known for their high energy, powerful performances, and the unique fact that they self-produce much of their music.     JYP Entertainment confirmed Stray Kids did not submit any music before the Aug. 21 deadline for the 69th Grammys, effectively joining BTS in opting out of consideration for the Recording Academy’s newly created Best Asian Pop Music Performance category. Critics — and the groups themselves — say the separate Asian pop award risks ghettoising Asian artists, and BTS has said it hopes music “can be heard and embraced for what it is, beyond region or language,” though the Recording Academy says it will go ahead with the new category and has received a “robust” number of submissions
