According to a report aired Monday on JTBC’s “Chief Investigator,” member Soobin was targeted in a taxi fare scam while traveling in Cebu, a popular tourist destination in the Philippines. The incident was originally revealed through the group’s official YouTube channel, where Soobin shared footage of a trip to Cebu with a friend. After arriving at Mactan-Cebu International Airport, the two took a taxi to their accommodation. Before boarding, Soobin had checked that the expected fare was around 300 pesos ($5.30). However, the driver initially demanded 500 pesos, then raised the price mid-ride, claiming fuel costs were high and asking for 1,000 pesos. The driver continued to push for a higher fare, but after a tense exchange, Soobin ultimately agreed to pay 500 pesos — still significantly above the expected price.     K-pop boy groups NCT 127, Tomorrow X Together (TXT) and ZEROBASEONE will headline KCON LA 2026 this August, the event's organizer said Friday as it unveiled a star-studded lineup for the upcoming U.S. leg of the annual overseas Korean culture festival. Korean media and entertainment giant CJ ENM announced the artists for the "M Countdown" show, the festival's signature K-pop concert series. Each headliner will perform an expanded one-hour set, offering a concert-scale experience to global fans. The Los Angeles event is scheduled for Aug. 14-16 at Crypto.com Arena and the Los Angeles Convention Center. It follows the festival's 2026 kick-off in Japan, which will take place from May 8-10 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba.
