Idol Vision Terms of Service

These Idol Vision Terms of Service ("Idol Vision Terms") apply to your access to and use of the Idol Vision Android app, Idol Vision tester program, Idol Vision subscription features, and related KpopVisage services (collectively, "Idol Vision").
These Idol Vision Terms supplement the main KpopVisage Terms of Service. If there is a conflict between these Idol Vision Terms and the main KpopVisage Terms for Idol Vision-specific features, these Idol Vision Terms control for those features.
Your use of Idol Vision is also subject to the Idol Vision Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use Idol Vision.
1. What Idol Vision is
Idol Vision is a K-pop idol identification tool. It uses camera or image input to detect faces in an image or frame and return likely matches to known K-pop idols in the KpopVisage system.
Idol Vision results are automated, probabilistic, and may be wrong. A match percentage or displayed result does not prove identity, affiliation, endorsement, appearance, nationality, gender, age, or any other fact about a person.
2. What Idol Vision is not for
Idol Vision is not a face scanner for private individuals. You may not use Idol Vision for identity verification, surveillance, stalking, employment screening, law enforcement, school discipline, housing, credit, insurance, immigration, medical, security, or other high-impact decisions.
You may not use Idol Vision to identify, track, profile, harass, shame, or make decisions about private people. Do not scan people without appropriate permission.
3. Image, camera, and content rules
You are responsible for the images, camera frames, and other content you submit or scan with Idol Vision. You agree that you will not submit, scan, upload, or otherwise use:
- images of children;
- private-person images, selfies, or photos of people who have not given appropriate permission;
- images you do not own or do not have the right to use;
- illegal, exploitative, intimate, hateful, harassing, or abusive content;
- content intended to evade safety systems, rate limits, subscriptions, or access controls; or
- content intended to train, benchmark, scrape, reverse engineer, or copy Idol Vision without permission.
Idol Vision is intended for lawful, respectful, entertainment-oriented identification of public K-pop idol imagery, such as idol photos, posters, videos, group shots, and similar fan contexts.
4. Training and improvement
Some image submissions that match a known K-pop idol with sufficient confidence may be retained and used to improve Idol Vision, as described in the Idol Vision Privacy Policy.
By using Idol Vision, you understand that eligible idol imagery may be used for quality review, validation, model improvement, troubleshooting, abuse prevention, and related product improvement purposes. You must not submit images if you do not have the rights and permissions needed for that use.
5. Beta and tester access
Idol Vision may be offered through a beta, early access, internal testing, closed testing, or similar tester program. Tester access is limited, discretionary, and may be accepted, paused, changed, revoked, or discontinued at any time.
Beta versions may contain bugs, incomplete features, inaccurate results, usage limits, data loss, subscription test behavior, or service interruptions. You should not rely on Idol Vision beta access being continuously available.
If you join the tester list, you may need to use a Google Play account that is eligible for the test track. Being on the tester list does not guarantee immediate Google Play access, device compatibility, or continued participation.
6. Accounts, access, and security
Some Idol Vision features may require a KpopVisage account. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity under your account. We may limit, suspend, or terminate access if we believe your account, device, or activity violates these terms, creates risk, or abuses Idol Vision.
You may not share access in a way that bypasses tester limits, subscriptions, device restrictions, usage limits, or other access controls.
7. Usage limits and abuse prevention
Idol Vision may include free usage limits, paid usage limits, daily caps, session caps, cooldowns, rate limits, abuse detection, device checks, and other controls. These limits may vary by account, device, subscription status, tester status, feature, region, or operational needs.
You may not attempt to bypass or manipulate limits, quotas, billing systems, subscriptions, access controls, anti-abuse systems, security checks, or technical restrictions.
8. Purchases, subscriptions, and Google Play
Idol Vision may offer paid features, subscriptions, or other purchases through Google Play. Purchases made through Google Play are also subject to Google Play's terms, billing rules, refund policies, and subscription management tools.
Subscription pricing, benefits, limits, and availability may change as permitted by law and applicable platform rules. Unless otherwise stated, subscriptions renew automatically until canceled through Google Play or the applicable platform.
We may need to verify purchase status with Google Play to provide paid access, prevent fraud, and enforce usage limits.
9. Device permissions
Idol Vision may request access to device features such as the camera, network connection, notifications, local storage, or related Android capabilities. You can control certain permissions through Android settings, but disabling permissions may prevent Idol Vision from working.
You are responsible for using camera features lawfully and respectfully in your location and circumstances.
10. Intellectual property
Idol Vision, including its software, interface, models, generated overlays, names, logos, design, and related technology, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.
K-pop idol names, images, music, group names, trademarks, and other third-party materials belong to their respective owners. Idol Vision is not endorsed, sponsored, approved, or certified by any idol, entertainment company, platform, or rights holder unless expressly stated.
11. Community-maintained idol data and copyright concerns
KpopVisage and Idol Vision include community-maintained idol information, group information, images, labels, and related data. Community members may upload, suggest, edit, or help maintain groups, idol profiles, pictures, and other reference information used by Idol Vision.
Because this data is community-maintained, it may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, mislabeled, or otherwise incorrect. Idol Vision results depend in part on that reference data, so results may also reflect those errors.
Community-uploaded images or other materials may also include content that a rights owner believes infringes copyright, trademark, publicity, privacy, or other rights. If you are a rights owner or authorized representative and want material reviewed or removed, please contact us through the Help & About page or the contact information listed there. When we receive a valid removal request or otherwise determine that action is appropriate, we may remove, disable, restrict, or modify the relevant content.
12. Prohibited technical uses
You may not reverse engineer, scrape, copy, extract, benchmark, overload, resell, sublicense, automate, or use Idol Vision to build or improve a competing service, dataset, model, or product without written permission.
You may not interfere with Idol Vision's operation, security, integrity, or availability.
13. Disclaimers
Idol Vision is provided for entertainment and informational purposes. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Idol Vision is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, including warranties of accuracy, availability, reliability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
We do not guarantee that Idol Vision will recognize every idol, return correct matches, work on every device, remain available, or operate without interruption or error.
14. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mannacor LLC and its owners, operators, affiliates, service providers, and licensors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, loss of goodwill, device issues, misuse of results, or service interruptions arising from or related to Idol Vision.
15. Suspension and termination
We may suspend, limit, or terminate access to Idol Vision if we believe you violated these terms, misused the service, created legal or safety risk, abused tester access, attempted to bypass limits, or used Idol Vision in a way that harms users, the service, or third parties.
16. Changes to Idol Vision or these terms
We may change, pause, discontinue, or modify Idol Vision features, tester access, subscription offerings, free limits, paid limits, model behavior, supported devices, or availability. We may update these Idol Vision Terms from time to time by posting an updated version with a new Effective Date.
